FAADD MOVES FORWARD…

FAADD (Filipino-American Association for Developmental Disabilities) is   a non-profit, tax-exempt organization for people with developmental disabilities  of  FILIPINO descent.  Our documents have been filed to the IRS and are awaiting final approval of our 501C status.

The  Filipino-American community has its own population of people with  developmental disabilities.  Their needs, issues and concerns in many  respects are unique because of cultural and language differences.   The FAADD attempts to bridge these gaps through our support group meetings every month and educational events such as workshops, field trips, and networking  with other community groups & service agencies.

FAADD sponsors  annual events, a Christmas Party and a Summer Picnic. These events are well attended of  about 100-250 Filipinos with  developmental disability  along with families and friends . These events are  sponsored by  individual citizens  and  organizations. They donate their services, food, money and other kinds to make these events possible.  We have other events during the year such as workshops and trainings, trips to Disneyland,  etc. If interested to participate and to make donations for these events please contact us.  You are welcome to join us...provide us with support or just to network with us for our people with special needs.  Email to join:  admin@faadd.org or download and complete the form on page 2, Donor & Membership Form .

FAADD goes for a weekend in Disneyland! 
Yes.. we were a bus-full of family & friends to the fantasy land, DISNEYLAND!  Thank you so much to the sponsors who funded our transportation,  the HOPE Adult Day Health Care Center,  Xandria Sandi, and the San Diego Community Action Group. The  site has links to different community resources such as the Regional Center, day programs, Social Security Administration, etc. Check it out.  Thank you to our new web master, Ramon Dela Cruz, who donated his service in creating our website and the first 3 mos. domain fee.
